In 2015, research grants through Cancer Councils totaled more than $70.5 million. Cancer Councils directly funded $48.1 million, with a further $22.4 million contributed by our research funding partners.

Established in 1961 as the Queensland Cancer Fund, in response to an increasing need for cancer-related services across the state.

Celebrating over 50 years of supporting Queenslanders affected by cancer.

Today, Cancer Council Queensland employs over 250 staff statewide, and relies on support from more than 2,500 registered volunteers. Their volunteers, supporters, and friends are essential to their work.

Having offices is in Brisbane, Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, Rockhampton, Bundaberg, Maroochydore, Toowoomba, and the Gold Coast, Cancer Council Australia is widely spread throughout Queensland.

Cancer Council Queensland is a member of Cancer Council Australia and is affiliated with the International Union Against Cancer (UICC).
